I currently have 3 black razors (2 are messed up), a silver one, and a pink one (modded t-mobile that is messing up) and I am going to get a new phone. I am very comfortable with the razor phones and would like to stick with them. My question is, should I got with this (Motorola RAZR V3 - Pink ) or (MOTORAZR with iTunes )
Is the itunes one able to be modded like the regular razors? I really like having the pink phone but if that black itunes one is way better I may get that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Right now there aren't as many mods for the V3i as there are for the V3 but if you do get the V3i, and wait it out, mods will become more and more available as the phone gets more popular, I say go for the V3i

I just ordered the V3i, I hope I don't hate it. Can I still put ringtones and stuff on it through my data cable still? When you say there are no mods for it what exactly do you mean? Do you think it's better than the regular razor? I can't really figured out the difference but I haven't researched it much either. You guys rock for always answering my questions!

The V3i has a better camera and a memory card slot amongst other benefits - so yes it is the better phone.
There are quite a few mods for the V3i - its been out over a year! - but not so many as the normal V3 - for example the ability to change the hello moto splash screen.
You can certainly put ringtones on the phone and can still do a great deal more advanced mods - certainly more than the V3r for example

Good! I was hoping it would be a better one! I'm going to miss the pink color on my pink phone though! Do I put the ring tones on with the same cable I have for the razors I have now? Can I use the Motorola Phone Tools program that I use now to put the ring tones on my phone?
Is it pretty much just like the razors I have now as far as being able to delete the factory ring tones and stuff? I'm not completely understanding when someone said that there weren't many mods for it. I'm not sure what is considered a mod. What is mainly important to me is that I can use the data cable and software (Motorola Phone Tools) that I already have, and that I can delete the factory ring tones and stuff.
So, can I use the data cable and Motorola Phone tools I already have?
Does it hold more songs that my other razors?
Can I put themes on it?
What other neat stuff can I do with it that I can't do with the razors I have now? I'm starting to get excited.
Oh, this is a question about my pink razor phone, when I dial *67 before making a call to block my caller id it doesn't work, whoever I am calling still sees my number. On my black phone *67 works just fine. Does anyone know why that might be?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, just make a new profile for the V3i and let it install the drivers for it

Again, yes, you can use the able. Don't know about deleting factory ringtones, haven't had the need to try to with mine
"So, can I use the data cable and Motorola Phone tools I already have? "
YES!!
"Does it hold more songs that my other razors?"
It has more memory, which means it will hold more songs, pictures, video, whatever data you want to use. It uses a memory card.
"Can I put themes on it?"
Yes
"What other neat stuff can I do with it that I can't do with the razors I have now? I'm starting to get excited."
The biggest thing is the music player built into the phone, as well as the (slightly) better camera and video capabilities. There's probably other stuff, but since I use mine for, well, phone calls, I haven't explored much of the other stuff
"Oh, this is a question about my pink razor phone, when I dial *67 before making a call to block my caller id it doesn't work, whoever I am calling still sees my number. On my black phone *67 works just fine. Does anyone know why that might be?"
Never heard of that one before. Something easy to try, do a master reset. If that doesn't work, there's some editing that can be done, but again, I'm not that familiar with editing things in the phone with the various computer programs.
Thanks in advance!
Good luck, Geri O

you need to either highlight the phonebook entry, press menu and go to hide id or go to settings>in call setup>my caller id and hide from there

Will that block my number to everyone I call though? I just want my number to be blocked when I push *67 which is like 1 in 50 calls and usually when I'm calling a customer who I don't want to have my personal cell phone number. Thanks for helping!

Yeah, * numbers such as *69 or *67 are generally for landlines, I've never had any of them work with my phone. The V3i's been out for a year? I didn't realize, oh and the V3r's a barrel of fun, I hated that thing I couldn't mess with it. When we say modifications that usually consists of
Flashing/Flexing
Skins/Themes
Seem Edits
Font Edits
Outer LCD Screen edits (CL.gif)
those sort of modifications, if you're just looking for ringtones and wallpapers, the V3i's a better deal, its just all around a better phone.
