Hi! I was just reading that T Mobile got all these radio stations or something from the FCC. It's so beyond my head. Does this mean that the reception for T Mobile will get better with more towers? I refuse to put up with Verizons BS any longer but I fear all these comments about poor reception in my area.
Do you think this will change?

T-Mobile just purchased Spectrum agreements/liscences. The bands that were purchased were for the most part 2100 and 1700 frequencies which are used more for data than anything else. So what we are looking at his higher data speeds because of recent purchases.
On the voice end though - T-Mobile expanded it coverage by 56% in 2005, and working at it again hard this year. As for comments about poor reception - Have you checked out www.T-Mobile.com/coverage ?

I have. At my house it's 2 bars coverage. Of course if I'm home and someone calls me they will get a call back from my house phone. (Home girl don't play with her minutes) If you put my zip in its a whole blob of 5 bars but if you zoom to my house it's 2 bars. Where my school is in the city is its five bars.
Thanks for your help. At this point I'm convinced Verizon is screwing over all other carriers in my area so I don't care if I get my call dropped a million times, I'm not supporting BS carriers.

Yes, yes.. so that means everybody hold off on handset upgrades if you want to use the 3g data cause you'll need an upgraded handset!! (i don't know when Tmobile will rollout 3g, it may be a while)

Right now we are looking at seeing 3g at year end 2007. Only about 12 months to go. Haha
