ever have one of those days where nothing goes right... well yesterday was on of those days for me... i woke up late, stubbed my toe ( ), couldn't find the right temp in the shower... and that jsut started the day.... nothing and i mean nothing went right for me... my calls were anything but good... i had a million calls (well actually on 26 calls about the tdma/analog 4.99 fee) we were call for call.... to make matters worse the majority of my calls were from elderly ppl who couldn't hear well or jsut didn't grasp the upgrade concept! <shake head> then trying to explain how pre-paid works to some old guy is like trying to teach german to a elephant ...... yup it was jsut one of those days anyway i thought that i would share that with ya'll....

you can always use them to feel superior, or let off steam by posting how funny they are in a story
well...soon there will be no more tdma and we'll have something else to complain about. i've already started getting customers calling about the letters for the "TDMA sunset." I'm worried if i use the term "sunset" the customer will laugh me right off the call.

i know hey, and i mean really how to you explain to some 98 yr old lady that her service is going to be turned off? i mean chances are this woman got her phone from her kids who dont talk to her anyway, and we have to explain to the lonely old lady that she needs a new phone? i mean seriously! yes i understand that tecnology changes and advances are made but i hope that i am not here when this all goes down, b/c the next day is not going to be pretty, and i feel sorry for all the tdma reps that are left... lord knows they are going to need as much sanity as possible! but at least on here u can rant and vent and know that there are others out there that know exactly what i/we are going thru....

lol funny story about cdma.... actually kinda embarassing on my part i have worked for cingular for two and a half years now and up until like a few months ago it totally thought that cdma stood for canadian digital something... lol i was very promtly corrected by one of my fellow colleeges that it stood for code division multiple access. wow did i feel like a giant tool! lol
anyway i guess that sprint and verizon are jsut going to have to go gsm then hey?!?!?

well, cdma will is evolving into wcdma, or ev-do (evolution data-only/optimized) as cdma carriers now refer to it. it just a faster data transmission like umts/hsdpa.
the worst calls are the car kit calls. i kinda hope i stay tdma 'till the end. most people in our center are going orange prepaid.
i never thought about old ladys and their kids like that but now that i think about it, a lot of them are like "my kids got it to call me on" and there's 0 usage for the past 6 months. kinda sad actually

lol i know hey, i make a good point!!! and i am sure that if we could go back further in the bills there would be no usage for like a year minus that one call that they made to the phone to make sure that is working... it really is sad :crying: at least i can say that i can say my grandparents in that category.... lol they dont have cell phones.
