LG VX8100 custom opening / closing animations impossible?

Albeit much of the past speculation, dispute, and rumor, I would like confirmation on the following matter.
Has anyone successfully created a custom opening/closing animation [sequence] (FOR THE VERIZON UI)? (VX8100)
I am aware that for motorola devices this is easily possible, however, vzw being vzw... well we all know this tale...
Furthermore, does ANYONE have any clues or potential insights into the [apparently proprietary] .bit2 format?
Editing, reading, anything?
It would really just be nice to know, finally if anyone has yet to accomplish this, that is, on a VX8100. I had heard people mentioning vzw UIs that use .gif format, or .swf (flash) formats, however this is clearly not the case for the VX8100, for example.
Any insights you could provide would be most beneficial, thanks.

heh heh, alright -- thanks for the reply though!
I was just still wondering since I was never quite sure if anyone had been able to figure it out for the verizon UI.

what would be nice if the open close(AD) CHANGED to let us know of new stuff or offers we could get. that is the onle thing i see wrong with the 8300 but it is some thing i can live with
