Hello,
Could you please kindly recommend which Cingular cell phone(s) have excellent signal reception in low signal areas?
I am currently using the SE525 and am now happy with its reception quality and am shopping again.
If this has already been addressed recently in the forum, than a link to the discussion would help.
Thanks much

Nokia 6030 is probably one of the WORST phones you can buy.
Trust me, when it comes to price, it does make a difference - Nokia 6030 - cheap phone - you get what you pay for.
Best phone I have ever come across was the Sony Ericson z525a, but every phone is different. -

Hello again and thanks for the suggestions. I do have the Sony Erricson Z525a.
The problem is that my immediate neighbor has a Motorola V551 which seems to have better reception quality in the area (that is, more often than not, the audio does not break) where as the SE model at the same location, has relatively poor quality audit during calls.
Hence the quest for a 'better' model

I have never used either of these phones, but based on the reviews that I have read the Nokia 6230/6270 should get very good reception. The 6230 might be slightly dated, but if you can get your hands on one off of eBay it might be worth it.
The 6270 is supposed to be superb, but no American carrier has picked it up from what I understand. Sad really, looks like a nice quad band phone, and does not use Symbian. So that is a nice feature if you are not a fan of Symbian.
Like I said, I have not personally used these, but the reviews look good.

nokia 6030 I would suggest highly it works better than phones that cost $400 in some cases the main problem I see with them is the body parts as they are removable come loose (it all snaps together) but that is the main issue I have seen with that phone it's a great phone. I would not recommend a razr. dust under screen, various software problems, delicate phone, the keypads mess up all the time. I would not recommend any lg phone even tho they are doing well with most of their models (not the cheapo ones no lg c1500 or c2000 you couldn't give me one of those phones I would throw it in a lake. ) any nokia bar style phone works. good sorry I'm a nokia fan. I have regular n-gage an old one and it doesn't get good reception but I think it's because it only uses the gsm 1900 in the usa (and there are areas where there is no gsm 1900 available vs. the 850) I also could recommend the se t290a gets good reception cheap "go phone" bar phone but has small key pad the new j220 sony ericsson looks promising but I don't know from personal experience.
