I've been meaning to post my results for about a week now, but am only able to get to it now.
After receiving my "Kingston" 1GB Micro SD in the mail, I initialized in the phone, put it in the usb reader/computer and transferred my select mp3 songs and quicKtime (.3g2 ) video clips into the various directories (sub folders) {I haven't tried jpgs to the sd card yet...no prob I still have alot of my jpgs on the phone memory} and voila'. I recommend waiting until the phone sleeps for removing and inserting the micro sd.
The onnly issue which really doesn't bother me is the duplicate 3g2 and mp3 files. If you play the underscored file it freezes the phone as reported on previous threads[ ._filename] and have to remove the battery. i was unable to delete them with the Chocolate OS.
I then plugged the microsd/reader into my laptop to see if the duplicate files could be deleted from the windows platform as suggested on another thread but the PC didn't see the resource forks either. I just work around the duplicated underscore file. If anyone has suggestions, kindly chime in.
I've read threads here that recommend the admin code to change the Chocolate from reading wma to read mp3. My Chocolate VX 8500 was preset for mp3's, others may be set for wma wmv. I already have a bucketload of my own edited mp3 ringtones.
Hmm...I wonder how to convert a animated gif to 3g2 or animated screensaver......
As far as transferring data my choice is to take the road le$$ $pent...haha
To transfer data from my computer... I spent all of 26 bucs for a 1gb microsd w/ free reader (delivered) and use BITPIM/Bluetooth.
If you haven't seen my threads on ringtones I have screenshots to help setup w/ mac computers and bluetooth/bitpim. I never tried emailing them to myself as I've read there were too many problems.
For a free program [bitpim] and (I've had my Chocolate since September 06') somewhat easy use.....its a slam dunk for me. Thanks BITPIM Guys and gals !!! Mac/Bluetooth/Bitpim rocked flawessly. Its a little quirky to set it up but once you have em connected its so easy.

Thank you very much.
I've had my USB Cord for my LG8500 for about a month and could not find anything to help me.
I downloaded BitPim once I read this and all my pictures are now on my computer!
Thank you very much!

Hello all-
I've been searching the internet trying to find a solution to my problem.
I just got my VX8500 a few days ago. I have one of those mini SD's, but it's not working on my phone! I'll put it in the card reader, drop the music I want into the my_music folder, and when i try open that folder on my phone, it says "No content loaded". I seriously tried every trick.shortening the file name.changing it to .mid. Nothing's working for me, anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.
