Check SEEM 0032_0001
offset 41 - bit 2: Display Foreign Carrier Name from SIM under Provider Name (1 show date always, 0 show foreign carrier name)
Also make sure this is turned off:
offset 60 - bit 0: 'GPRS Active' text with GPRS PDP Context Icons (1 on, 0 off)

There is a guide to seem editing in the tutorial section - take a look at that
You might also use the screen setting page in p2kAE (advanced editor)

I have the V3t with T-Mobile. It shows no date on the front page. My old V3 did show the date.
I checked and my default is...
offset 41 bit 2 set to 1
offset 60 bit 0 set to 0
Theme and skin changes did nothing. Any further suggestions?

That appears to be a common issue with the v3r - it looks like the v3t may be the same
I'm not sure a fix has been found yet
