1 for windows 98 and an extra plugin is also to be downloaded.
2. for windows xp no extra plugins needed fairly.
More than calling plugin i should call it a bugfix. since when you install it on to your windows 98 computer your windows media player may hangup, due to the MIKSOFT AMR CONVERTER.
So make sure that you make your step wisely.
Bye,

This refers to the previews version of Mobile AMR converter (ver 1.0).. The latest (ver 1.2), the one you can download is ok for all the platforms..

It has a strange "bug" however. When selecting the output file in a conversion, you can't create a new .wav/.amr file, but instead, you need to select an existing file (any extension) so that the data can be converted to amr and vice versa.
You can create a new file by just typing the new file's name into the "File Name" text box.. (ex. new_file -> OK -> the program will add the appropriate extension automatically, .amr or .wav)..
Thank you..

Hi!
I've got a serious problem with this .amr wav converter...
As it converts only the first 18 seconds of the selected .wav file. I cannot bypass this crux.

(...actually I wouldn't be surprised if the converter program notified me to be a shareware and that's why it not converts more than the first 18 secs, but it didn't.. Nobody ever faced the same problem of mine?)
Q: When I am trying to convert a wave file that I created with Sound Recorder, the produced amr file is only 18 seconds long. What to do?
A: Just reconvert the wave file to a 16bit 8hz frequency file (mono) with Total Recorder. To learn how to do this click here.

I swear that I done the converting (with Blaze) before trying to make an amr file. As it should be..
(I did not say that it's a shareware I just said that I would no reason surprising in case of a shareware program but this is not one of them.)
By the way it converts perfectly beside the 18 second limit problem.

There may be the problem with Blaze however.. but I checked what Blaze had produced and found it to be a mono 16 bit 8kHz wav file..
I don't know..

There are many converters claiming of converting a file correct but they dont do it (like Sound Recorder).. Try the Total Recorder that surely makes the convertion correct..

I quote my reply about your 18 sec prob.. About the poor quality, is due to the AMR codec nature.. Select a high MR mode for (a little) better sound quality..
