You have to get a program for it. I THINK its called an MP3 cutter. I bought a CD off Ebay which has the program on it, (along with thousands of already made ringtons for the SGH D807) but I havent taken a look at the program yet. Google it. you should be able to find it.

I still cannot find a program that lets to convert a mp3 to a dm file. The mp3 cutters just make the file smaller, it does not convert it to a dm file.

There is no need to convert to a .dm file. The d807 will allow an MP3 file to be used as a ringtone as long as it is under 500kb. I first trasnferred, via bluetooth, an MP3 that was 932kb and the phone did not give me the option (option 4) to set as a ringtone. I downloaded an MP3 editor (for free), and edited the file to contain only the portion of the song that I wanted as a ringtone. The edited MP3 size was cut down to 332kb. I transferred this new file to the phone, and it can now be set as a ringtone. The file is 20 seconds long. Don't bother with the .dm conversion. Hope that helps. This has been driving me crazy for a while.

ALSO
The ringtone length cannot be more than 25-30 seconds. First off, the song will just loop, and secondly, it won't even let you set a song more than 30 seconds long
I found this out first hand.and it made me mad.

I have a D807 also and the phone does allow more than 30 seconds of music to be set as your ringtone. The whole song won't play by the time the call is answered or not. But I can set them as ringtones. And they're all bluetoothed MP3's.
