Have a Motorola V180 with firmware 365 .. it is still a locked phone
to Cingular .. not too worried about unlocking it, but I would like to
get the word CINGULAR off of the middle of the screen
As it is now, it puts it smack on top of my wallpaper / screensaver
making the photo look lousy
How to do this easily ? ?
I have most of the tools .. mpt ... p2k, etc

Tried using P2K Man ... can't find any skin .ski files
on the phone to modify

No .. I see just about everything else
Total of about 439 files of which about
8 are my own .jpg pictures
This is a phone with Cingular service
and has never been modded except
for adding photos and backing up the
address book

You should see several folders.
Maybe you have an old version of p2k man which doesn't work properly?
Try p2k Commander or p2k man from a different site

I will try P2K commander 3.30 and see what that does

I could not wait till Sunday
Went and extracted P2K Commander
figured out how to use it .. same results
Only 439 files seen .. no .ski (skin)
files or folder

Don't know then - I am a V3 guy myself - generally the p2k phones are similar - the v180 must be different

I myself may switch to a V3 later this year.
But I am still undecided as to if I would stay
with Cingular or go with Verizon Wireless
I like the rollover minutes of Cingular, although
so far, I do not thnk I ever went over the 450
minutes of my plan. Also, some of my friends
are on Verizon so calls from my cell to their
cell would not use any minutes.
