I don't yet have a data cable for my CG225, so I'd like to know if this software works. If you get the software and it works with your CG225 data cable, let us all know.
No luck on this end, either through my lappy or pc. Not through BitPim or the software that came in that .exe.
Id tell them.

I just got a response back from LG:

Your phone only supports address book and calendar syncronization. For this reason software and a cable are needed. Image transfers are not supported for your model. If you are only interested in transferring images, then you are correct in that the purchase of the PC sync software would not be feasible for your desired functionality. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We do offer software for the CG225 as well as the C2000 model. We apologize again for any misunderstanding.

Heres my thing. This is blatant misrepresentation, many people have purchased these phones because it came with a camera, but where does it say when purchasing the phone that you cannot get the pictures off?
And my first email response I received from them suggested I buy the software! Then I responded saying what good would it do me.then this.
We all have been ripped off then, not just for the cost of the phone, but for purchasing extra stuff to try and get the pictures off. so if anyone files a class action lawsuit against LG. add me to the list!

Anything new on this problem? I notice TracFone has picked up the CG225 and is hawking it as a camera phone. I might consider getting one if it can really take pictures and transfer them out. Has anybody got one working yet?

I too bought one of the cable/software off Ebay, and like all here, was wanting to be able to download my pics. Like ya'll, my software does not work, but, I did find a way to download the pics. You send the pics to your e-mail, sorry if it sounds too simple, but, I just sent three of my recent pics to one of my e-mail accounts and it works. The pics, if on low res, are small, generally about 6-11k, but, at least you can download them.

From what I`ve gathered, if your CG225 is a Prepaid Tracfone, the data port is looked. You can only download wallpaper and ring tones from there site only, and at their per item prices. I bought a Tracfone CG225, and found out the hard way, also. The usage of USB Data Cables and CD`s are off limits with these prepaid phones. Evidently, LG made this phone exclusively for Tracfone. And, Tracfone locks your phone port, so you can only use it to recharge your phone battery. Yes I bought the data cable and Cd online
supposively, to work with my phone from from ebay too. Needless to say,
" They are of no use to me, now." I wouldn`t have bought a Prepaid Tracfone Camera Phone for that reason, If only I`d known this ahead of time.

The data port on my TracFone 225 isn't locked.
This series of phone is just limited in its port capabilities.

Correction, the phone was a waste of money. Nothing but a thick black proprietary piece of crap!
Look for a SIM CARD READER on ebay. That at least isn't proprietary and is usable between phones. They're less than 10 dollars and should be no different than using any card reader.
I'll never buy anything by LG again.
Had to take my phone apart to drill 2 holes to fish a lanyard from a USB drive through it. I also cut the rubber off the back side of the camera button so I could hold my phone without accidentally pressing the damn thing. (the button above the power button does the same damn thing.) And the interface and setup options suck.
