Hullo i have been with a motorola v551 from cingular for over six months and my contract has expired. I want to send it to a friend who works for an NGO in Africa but before i do i need to first unlock it. Can cingular help with the codes to unlock it?

So, what are you going out with now to make you dump your V551?...a SLVR?!
And why would Cingular supply "cords" for unlocking, huh?

that means you have entered an incorrect unlock code too many times... the device can no longer be unlocked

Well, if you're a customer for 90 days and intl roaming, they'll unlock the phone too.
