I was doing some pondering in my spare time and came up with this senario, If I sign up for a My Faves Family plan and put my wifes cell in my fave 5, but she does not put me in her fave 5 what will happen to my pooled minutes when she phones me? Since a number in your 5 gives you both incoming and outgoing calls for free, this seems to be a good loophole to use. However after calling several service reps, they say that they will still remove minutes from the plan since they still have to bill her line. TMO's answer is to either have both parties name the other(unfair to me) or to add unlimited M2M for $10 a month. Now these faves plans are 10 more a month to the regular plans and the family faves delete the previously free M2M minutes of the family plan. This seems unfair and misleading to the customers. ANY thoughts on this seemingly unfair billing practice?

As you're pondering taking up T-Mobile's myFAVE, here's some info they don't mention in those commercials. If you want to add myFAVEs to your plan, it will take purchasing new phones. It's not something you can just "add on" to your plan, you've got to buy the compatible phone. Only a few phones are myFAVE compatible. Now isn't that a bummer! I really like the idea of Tmobile using it to compete with Altell's my circle, but now they're trying to cash in on those who are already loyal to them (existing customers).

If your wife calls you, shouldn't the call be free for you and go aginst her minute bucket because for you it is a my fav call and for her it is just a normal phone call.

That is what they are claiming, but with FAMILY MY FAVES we will be sharing pooled minutes.

Yes for the regular family plans. But the Family Faves plans DO NOT include free M2M minutes the sell it for $6.99 for one line or $9.99 for all the lines in the shared plan. This is what creates the problem I think TMO did a poor job of thinking this plan through, and decided to put their mistake off on us customers. They are advertising The My Faves plans as costing $10 more per month but if they remove the M2M minutes from the shared plans they are punishing the family plan members by charging us $20 a month for the Faves. And if you think it out they are forcing us to name our family plan members in our five which really doesn't give us 5 numbers it gives us only 4 unless you have 3 to 5 members in your family, which hurts even worse.

I should be able to name my wife without her naming me giving her 5 choices without naming me and her and I to call each other as much as need be for free. but the only way my incoming and outgoing free minutes works with her is if she names me as well and that is what I think is unfair. They made the rules and I found a loophole and they are responding by taking their ball and going home. It is not my fault that their marketing execs are not in my class of intelligence. But they have no qualms about telling me that it is tough and take it or leave.
