I am a new member to mobiledia forums as a member but have been reading for almost a year or so. I currently have a Cingular 8125. I have now exchanged it almost 6 or 7 times since about September through Cingular warranty Department. Reasons for the exchange vary from not begging able to enter the email application, phone dialer and recent call menu moved up 1 inch, Internet not working properly, not begging able to send out emails if I am able to get into the application at all, etc. What I am wondering is what I should now do. I called on Monday and they said they were sending me out a new one express shipping at no charge. It is not Friday and I still have not received it so I called and they said that it is on back order. They informed me they credited me for the hassle and that If I choose to I could have a different model sent out instead at no charge to me. Do I exchange it for the 3125 or wait until who knows when the monster of a phone the 8525 is available to normal people. The deal with the 8525 is, I know all the specs on it but the 3G will not be available in my area until June of 2007. Thanks for all your help in advance. I will be checking back to see what you guys think I should do.

but would the 3125 or Nokia E62 or I guess even the Palm 650 be worth it compared to the 8125?

the treo is a few years old now, I'd go with the 8125 or E62. but that's if you don't mind not having a camera.

Yeah I know the Treo 650 is really old and Cingy is finnally gonna get the Treo with windows I think there calling it the 680 or some thing, I need the camera as I do not own an actual digital camera and I use the one on the 8125 all the time as well as the windows media player. I use almost every function of the 8125 that why I am hesitant to trade it in for the 3125 as it has no wifi, for flash for the camera, no word, excell, etc, or E62 because no camera and treo because of no camera. Unless something comes out reall soon i guess I will have to wait untill the phone is off backorder and then trade it in for the 8525 when that finnaly comes out

when will the HP actually come out though? I am sort of Leaning towards aiting for the 8525 even though I will not be able to experience the 3G untill June of 2007. Compared to the HP it has a better camera from what I have read and the same layout as what I have been using for almost 7 Months. The layout is not very important but I tried the 3125 and Palm out at the local Cingy Store and didn't like how some of the web sited I can go to on my 8125 on the 3125 and Palm they are wap versions. I hate WAP.

i meant the current hp model. i heard rumours that the new hp ipaq is due out before christmas, but nothing confirmed.
if you go with the treo, you can always put on the opera mini browser also.
if you wanna check out some reviews for some of the devices you've been looking at, a really good site is www.mobiletechreview.com

Well, RKNight, when the new one comes out, we'll 8525 for you. But if you decide you want a diff phone, when you call in, tell that rep to email me so I can update my notes that I left when I spoke to you the other day.
Edit Nov 09: Oh, I got the email - now remember, what was promsied was from our Warranty dept, they're the ones who are going to fulfill that offer - not myself. I don't even have the ability to do the offer, but I will make sure that our warranty dept will get it done. And also, one thing you must realize, this of course, is off the record
