Hi there eveybody.
I'm a new member and I wonder if anyone could help me end my misery?
I have tried to use the USB IrDA MarsII 888 on my PC after installing the device’s drivers, and also the Nokia PC Suite 5.1. that suites my Nokia 6610
I am having difficulties with getting it to work properly between the two of them.
When I am connecting the device and switching on my Cell phone’s IrDA. I keep getting the message that the connection between the two devices gets broken because the phone has moved from its position, which is not true because I am placing the phone something like 5-10 centimeters from the IrDA device. For some reason I don’t know what the problem is, and for now I can’t use the connection between the IrDA and my new 6610 phone. What shall I do? Is there a solution to my problem? Is there any kind of configuration to be made either on my PC or my Nokia 6610?
Please try to assist me in some way so that I can start to enjoy my purchased product.
Best regards, from Sweden.
Mike.

I had the same problem but I can't remember the exact settings I used to solve it so I will get back as soon as I get back from work....It's nothing serious, do not worry....

Go to Hardware manager, and in the advanced properties of your IR device, try to change the settings regarding the type of tranceiver....For example, my Sigmatel was set to 4012 (Default) and I had the same problem like you do, but when I changed this setting to 4000, it started working properly....Just don't ask me why....Hope this helps, post us what happenned....Good luck....
