looks like rogers has finally got around to deploying HSDPA, but it will teake a bit to get out of t-dot

sweet! its about time! hope it'll come to regina soon... but having my doubts since wireless is the only service avaliable to saskatchewan residents.. you'd think they'd roll out other things (home phone, digital cable service) before they roll out the hsdpa.. btw is hsdpa quicker DL than umts... could look it up in csp but too lazy.. lol

but hsdpa is better anyway. we don't have any other stuff from rogers either, just wireless.
it seem slike the prairies and the east coast are the last to get things, so i guess we'll see.

yes that cannot be more true.. we are the last to get the "cool" things.. oh well.. hsdpa is an overlay network of umts?? and sasktel does have EVDO but sucks when it comes to selection for phones, rogers all the way

pretty much. as far as i understand, the umts is a hardware change to the network, and HSDPA is a software upgrade on that network.
i think my favorite thing about UMTS/HSDPA vs. EV-DO is the ability to access voice/data simultaneously.

yeah thats a pretty cool feature for video conferencing and what not. i JUST got the samsung d807 so i imagine by the time UMTS/HSDPA comes around here i'll need a new phone anyways lol
