Sorry I'm not sure why you were having problems. I've been using the Verizon data cable for my 8300 and BitPim with no problems.

Does BitPim detect your phone? There should be a green dot at the bottom left hand side when it is ready and another green dot down at the bottom showing your phone and what com it is using. The dot at the left hand should turn red when it sends the information.

I don't know if there is a difference between a data cable for a 8300 and a Verizon 8300. Verizon I discovered uses the Brew platform. So there may be a compatibility issue there.

Is it possible that the memory is full. If you have added a card make sure that under settings and tools you have enabled your music and images to go to the card instead of the internal phone. You will find that option under memory. Which on my phone is number 8. Then your music, sounds, etc. will automatically go to your card.

Hopefully by now the problem has been solved.

ive noticed with my 5200 (check my other posts why i dont have a 5300), that you must have the phone plugged in and usb/bluetooth recognized first B4 starting bitpim.
hope it helps
