Hello; I just purchased a T-Mobile Phone switching from Cingular. My intentions were to use the T-Mobile service on my Motorola L6 Unlocked Phone.
When I inserted the T-Mobile Sim Card, Everything appeared to be aright. It registered just fine. I changed the network settings to T-Mobile, etc.
The L6 was purchased off of ebay, and I used it for my Cingular Service and everything worked perfectly. And, yes, I changed the Browswer settings to conform to Cingular.
Now, here are my problems.
1. When I changed the browser settings for T-Mobile, (following browser instructions posted on this site) I still can not access the internet. Is there a specific way to have the browser for T-Mobile on the L6. It appears that there are settings already on the phone for T-Mobile but these settings are only for the British WAP Browser version of T-Mobile.
I already tried the software presented on T-mobiles website to where they would send me a setup to program the phone, but after numerous attempts, I can not get it to my phone. (I am referring to T-mobile configurater site to install T-zones on my phone. No text messages or anything as descibed on the site.
2. Also, I can not recieve text messages. I did test it to where I can send text messages to myself, and I do get them. However, it appears that I can not receive text messages from other sources (This includes the T-mobile site to where you can text someone and T-mobile configurator site to where they send you a text, and also includes other sources such as friends phone).
Is there a way for me to change some settings or something to where I will get my text messages?
Finally, I really enjoy and love my L6 and would love to keep using it, but if it does not perform the say way as it did with the cingular services, I don't know what I will do other than swallow my pride and use the very cheap and no feature phone they gave me. I spent a great deal of money on my Unlocked L6 and just love it, Please help.
Sincerly
Ajay

www.wdsglobal.com should have all the settings you need to put into your phone by hand to get it working. Unlocked phones are great, but ones from another carrier tend to be a pain to get to work vs ones not branded to a carrier.

I've visited wdsglobal.com and can find absolutly nothing on cell phone programming, etc. Is this the correct site you are trying to get across or is this an advertisement? Can you send the correct link? Thank You.

Sorry about that, info used to be easy to find there. Have you found the information on tmobiles website? In their website they have all the manual settings you will need uner support.

Hello and thank you for contacting me.
No to dish T-mobile, but after signing up for their services, I realized I was not happy at all. I decided to go back to Cingular (I think because I'm used to their services and support). So, therefore, I programmed my L6 back to cingular and after paying release contract with Tmobile and Re-activating Cingular, it did cost me a lot. But, I am happy.
Thank You Again,
Ajay
