Did you vote?

Actually the first government was about giving the states all of the power with a relatively weak federal government. That was under the Articles of Confederation, however the country continued to stay weak under this government and thereafter wrote the Constitution, taking more power for the federal government, which was essentially a much more unified one.

I always vote, just so that I can bitch harder when the asshole I didn't vote for get's in. If you don't vote you can bitch about either, but don't bitch too hard if you didn't do anything about it. Isn't it sad, but Iraq under threat of severe violence had a 66% voter turnout, while the US with no such threat had a hard time getting 33% to show up. Don't say it was because of the lousy candidates, I'll wager that if you've never voted, you wouldn't believe the number of choices you have available.

BTW i never asked Vote for what? US presidental election isnt untill nov

Perhaps, but I voted in the primaries because I didn't feel like sitting back and giving the entire decision on what my choice for President is to total strangers.

Every time Perot runs a Democrat wins, every time Nader runs a Republican wins. Any time you have a candidate you feel strongly about, organize a petition for an independent with the opposite belief system, so you can split the vote.

What if Nader and Perot both run at the same time?

"Fry: Hey Bender, are you going to Vote?"
"Bender: No, I'm not allowed to vote."
"Fry: Why not? Is it because you're a robot?"
"Bender: Nope; convicted felon."

I just can't wait for Diddy's Vote or Die campaign to make a comeback.
