ok so heres what happnened, i accidentally had my cell phone in the washing machine, its broken now, i have cingular
im on my dads plan, he called cingular to get me a replacement, they said they have to send us an affidavit, he has to get it notarized, and make copies of a photo id and send it back, and wait 2 weeks to a month and theywill send back a new phone
does this sound right to anyone?
the guy at the cingular store said just call, tell them u have a damaged phone, and they wil send u a new one in a day and u send the old one back, and i do have the insurance
whats up with this, everyone i talked to said u just call they send your phone and u can send the old one back or pay the 50$, why are they making me do all this?

Your phone is water damaged. The warranty does not cover water damaged phones

you have to get phone repl thru insurance. not warranty and the affidavid thing I think is for because you told them you did not have the phone. tell them you found it outside and then I think insurance will want you to send them the phone. and then you might not have to have that paper.

Yeah, your pretty done on that one. You screwed up when you threw your phone in the washing machine. Although all that stuff they are making you do I have never heard of, but its Cingular so it doesnt surprise me.
