who is your service provider?
Cingular?
a PUK code is a securty protocol invoked when registration fails...once you verify the acct the PUK code should be forthcoming almost immediatly...
call back 8003310500 from a land line phone with the phone in hand and tell the rep you see enter PUK code on the screen... do not enter anything else on the phone

That's odd that they told you 1-3 days. Maybe they thought you meant subsidy? Either way it's weird... the PUK code we have at customer care... and it's not hard to get.

Yeah, both PUK codes are displayed in the billing system - subsidy unlock code, however, can take up to 5 business days to get.

Speaking of subsidy codes...
I have a question.
I have a Cingular branded Moto C139 back at home. I tried to place another carrier's SIM inside and it came back up asking for the subsidy code.
My question is if I would be correct in presuming that I need to get the Subsidy code from Cingular? If so, how do I go about getting it? Just call 611 and tell them the phone wants the Subsidy code?

Just call us in and ask.
If you've been with us for 90 days - we'll file a form, you can either recieve a phone call or an email with it. It takes up to 5 days, however, I have seen it take only 2.
