Hi, I have a question here,
I am wondering if the myFAVES plan will work if I make calls to the U.S. Virgin Islands. At this moment, I know that all calls under the standard plan made FROM the U.S. TO the US Virgin Islands incur a 69 cent/min charge. Since myFAVES advertise free minutes for nationwide calls, does this also include the US Virgin Islands. Its already fustrating that Puerto Rico is under the nationwide coverage and NOT the Virgin Islands (although we are RIGHT NEXT DOOR).
It is so fustrating, although I'M NOT EVEN A T-MOBILE CUSTOMER (although I am thinking of signing up).
(I already know that calls made FROM the Virgin Islands TO the US have no additional charge).

If it costs an additional fee to call the virgin islands then my faves probably won't make that call free. Ill check the my favs agreement today and get back to you on that, but I'm gonna say for now that you can not add a virgin islands number if you have to pay additional fees to call there.

Thanks. I'll be looking out for your info on myFAVES coverage in the US Virgin Islands. Cingular, ATT and Sprint have excellent service in the Caribbean; particularly in the Virgin Islands where all calls are treated as domestic nationwide coverage (no marketing assistance needed). Also, landline companies like Comcast include the Virgin Islands in their nationwide coverage.
Also, do you think that the recent FCC auction will have any effect on coverage in the Virgin Islands? I know that T-mobile announced briefly about having other frequencies included the US Virgin Islands (although the implications may be some time off).
Thanks much!

Included long distance calls can be made from the 50 United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands to the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and Northern Mariana Islands. Roaming charges do not apply when roaming within the service area of land-based networks of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands (if you go to Guam and Northern Mariana Islands, you are roaming).

After looking up myfaves details, it appears the US Virgin Islands would not be able to be added to your 5. Your 5 can only consist of any number nationwide, not including its territories.

mpapple10 you are incorrect if you call the reps they will tell you the U.S.V.I. is covered in the myfavs plan. I made the call that is how I know. Now if Tmobile can just hurry up and get the RIZR phone by December when i am ready to open my account everything will be sweet...

Really? Very sorry about that. I went through the myfavs terms and based on how it was written determined virgin islands were not covered by the plan. That and the fact it is normally .65/min to call there. If tmobile says it is covered, very sorry for the incorrect information.
