Hi--
My contract runs out in two days and I'm thinking about picking up a Q; however, before I do I was wondering if there will be a run of new phones for the Christmas season, and if anyone knows either WHEN those new phones might appear, or if there is anything really cool worth waiting on. So, any help would be great appreciated.

Hello. That depends on what features you are looking for when buying a phone. Some examples would be:
Phone service carrier, bluetooth, Wi-Fi, expandable memory (if applicable, such as miniSD, microSD/TransFlash cards, etc.), camera, video, music, and many other factors. There also are some advantages and disadvantages when comparing one (or more) phone(s) to another.

I see that 2 new colors of Chocolate are coming out. We have the Mint Chocolate (green in color) and the Cherry Chocolate (red in color). That's all I know at this point.

I'm looking for something....geez. I dunno what I'm looking for. I'm not wild about the chocolate -- it feels like a phone that will be dated pretty quickly, and one that is a little awkward to work with. I'm looking for a phone with decent picture quality, and an emphasis on music capabilities. And also one that, uhm, looks cool?
I'm just curious if I should head out tonight and get my Q, or wait two weeks for some Christmas rush that I've imagined, in my head, exists with cool new phone technology. I feel like Im going to buy my phone, and then see a new kind of "hot phone" (like 2006's version of the razr) and hate myself.
I know -- I'm reacting a LITTLE bit strongly. But two years is a long commitment!

I just saw on "another website" not VZW that there are 2 Samsungs coming, with VCast Mobile TV, 1 is a slider, forgot to write down the model numbers, sorry! If I were able to upgrade and this close to the holidays, I (even though I would really, really want a new phone, today) I would probably try to hold out just because of the face there can be new phones as well as better offers, thats JMO though.. What kind of phone do you like, something similar shape of razr and do you prefer a certain manufactur over another?

Ok, have the model #'s.. One is Samsung U620, slider type phone (suppose to have the Vcast Tv) the other is Samsund U740 qwerty keypad, similar to the LG 9800 but kinda, in a way, like a sidekick looks.. This is the first I have seen about these 2 but sure you could ck model's on Samsung website.. Have you seen the LG 8600 just came out? It is nice phone.
