What's the cost of using AIM on my RAZR? My provider is, of course, T-Mobile.

I considered leaving my AIM on overnight incase anyone decided to have to contact me, but I ended up turning it off because I didn't know if there were any extra costs. I know it uses up SMS messages, but does it cost money to connect? Does it cost hourly? Any extra charges with messages?

Thanks in advance.

it costs one txt message to sign on and then its free until someone IM's u or u IM someone. there r no hourly costs or anything like that. the only thing its going to cost u is txt msgs.

However if you don't have a Text Message packet you can also add T-zones and you can go through the menu for T-zones and connect through there and it won't charge the per message rate. I just got the unlimited message bundle from them though it might be worth it for you to have that as well. icon_wink.gif

Basically an IM through the phone is a text message. Any incomming or outgoing are treated as such charge wise. Just keep in mind *every* message you receive or send is 1 text msg. When it comes to people at a computer, those add up very quickly, so I highly suggest unlim sms bundle unless you use it rarely and so do the people on your list haha.

*edit* Rose beat me to it! Ah well icon_smile.gif

Also note that your phone will need to sent txt msgs to keep your buddylist up to date. This is normally where a large chunk of msgs are used up.
