Not a big deal though, the space is still there! |
it is possible to rename the SD card, you go to gallery open it, and then you look for your SD card "no name" and don't press open instead go to the options, and it should be there "rename mem. card"

I just went through the same ordeal.
First download the pc software for file transfers from Nokia website.
Engage the bluetooth link to the pc.
Note in the windows manager the 6275i memory shows as a drive (E for me).
In the music transfer option set the phone to recieve data (music files) to the correct drive (E for me) and when you open the transfer window you will now see the memory you've inserted. (1gig for me)
You can now transfer to this location in the phone.
Good luck !

Hello !
My issue is similar to the one davepark has .
I bought my Nokia phone 2 days ago (in Canada) and I also bought a 256MB microSD card.
I put a few pictures (Jpeg) on the card with a card reader via my PC and it worked fine. Then I put the memory card into the phone and, like davepark, I could find a folder called "Unformatted" in the memory status option.
But if I go into the Extras, according to the User Guide I should see 3 options : Memory card, Games and Collection. I don't see Memory card . I only see Games and Collection
And if I go in the Gallery, I don't see neither the microSD card.
I hope someone can help me !
Thanks
Edit to specify that I don't use the Bluetooth technology.

When I go to Extra, I only see Games and Collection, I don't have the option for a SD card. My SD card is unter the Gallery option. It might not be showing up for you because it wasn't formated in the phone, I'm not sure. I put mine in, and it was called NO NAME, then when I found it in the gallery, I selected Options, and there is a Format Memory Card option. That erased everything from it, and then I transfered files on it with Bluetooth, I'm not sure what you would have to do since you aren't using Bluetooth. Who is your Canadian provider? I'm also in Canada.

What I don't understand is how to have new photos automatically stored in the new memory card folder. If I run out of space I can move all my pics to the memory card, but the next time I move the pics, the names (image001.jpg etc) are repeated and won't move to the folder. I just want them in the memory card folder in the first place.

oh.actually, it wasn't that hard to do. Under camera>options>image/video storage>other folder.

Just bought this phone, but not sure if I want to keep it, haven't unpacked it yet.
Please, can anybody answer if there is any other way of transferring data to and from the phone, but bluetooth? USB? Does a USB cable come with the kit (bought at Zellers for $150)? Nothing about it on the box. Would the cable be the same as the one for digital cameras?

A Nokia 6275i phone needs a Nokia CA-53 USB cable to link to a PC. Be sure to download PC Suite from Nokia to properly access all the features. Bluetooth is available but USB is faster. If you use Outlook you can efficiently sychronize it with your 6275i including schedules & contacts. The emerging digital camera plug-standard for USB connectivity has not been adopted by Nokia yet. Motorola now uses this camera standard (finally!) and other makers are also doing so. Eventually they all will I suspect.
