Is there some kind of cache on my phone (Motorola V551) that I have to clean out from time to time to get free space? I ask this because I was on a binge of sending a bunch of pictures/videos I had on my phone to my e-mail address. When I started I had about 84% space used, and after I was done, I went to take a new picture and it told me I had 99% space used, and I didn't take any new pictures/videos in-between.

Have you cleared out the sent messages?
Restarted the phone?
You could also try webaccess>browser setup>reset cache if you have the option
And try sending a file via bluetooth and cancel at the look for devices stage

When you say "Sent messages", all I can think of that being is my Outbox, which has nothing in it besides a text message.
I have restarted the phone.
I don't know exactly how to go about doing that.
I also don't know how to send via Bluetooth.

Anything in email messages?
I guess that means you don't have the option
Browse to a file, hit menu then copy or send, look for devices then cancel
