Do you have any recommendations for dealing with the metal shielding to get to the testpoint???

Thanks in advance.

you don't have to test point, you fone is already in flash mode, smart moto alone can not fix this you need to have smart clip to fix it, connect SC to PC your fone to SC then open smart moto do search , it hen will see you fone as SBlank neptune, now choose repair then choose v3 and click or repair PDS , remember you have to be online for this operation cause your clip will connect to SC server to do this

I do have a smart clip. I connected to boot-loader and signed in with my smart clip, then ran smart moto. When smart moto started, I clicked the smart clip tab and connected to my smart clip. Next I went to the repair tab, clicked on V3, searched for my phone, and clicked the repair pds. After I do it I get this in the msg box:

SmartMoto error:
SmartMoto 1.23
Clip serial: XXXXXXXXX, version: 2.26, initializing... OK
Searching for phone... found S Flash Neptune LTE, getting test interface... interface not found
Switching to flash mode... OK
Reading phone boot version... 8.23
Sending boot... load error
Warning: Phone may need "Remove RSA" procedure to get unlocked or flashed, check model list at "Unlock" tab if flash mode fails to start

I am a noob to the smart-clip, so there might be something I'm not doing right...

hi

is smart clip the only solution for this?
I was flashing my v3 with flash&backup and during installation my PC hanged and the phone became dead.
I got nothing on screen and when I insert the battery and connect the cable, the phone is detected by Flash&Backup but it says blank phone...

any idea?
any way to repair it with another software?
I dont have smart clip nor back-up of my phone!

Sorry!!!!!
Try to find a friend, a uncle or some one you know have smart clip or ultima box or MSS to fix it for you.
Your fone's PDS is messed up, it's shown as Sblank neptune LTE!!!! you don't have a back up of your PDS nor Full back up, there is nothing you can do with out the help of those hardware.
But don't take my words for it keep on searching
Good Luck
