Hello:

I flashed my Razr V3 today, and the phone is now dead. When I press the power button, the backlight displays briefly and goes out. the screen is blank. Also, my PC does not detect the phone; a message comes up saying "USB device not recognised".

Can anyone assist me? Does this mean that I have to dump the phone?

What file did you flash?

Were there any errors in the process or did the phone go flat or any other problems?

Can you start in bootloader (hold * and # while powering on)

Hello:

The phone went flat after flashing. I'll try * and # simultaneously while depressing the power button.

Hello again Mikekay10:

I got the phone to detect after pressing * and #. I'm retrying the installaion of the Monster Pack. The phone screen indicates that the "SW Upgrade is in progress".

Will keep you informed...

If the phone goes flat mid flash this can often corrupt the PDS - in which case if you do not have a backup you will need a Smartclip to rebuild it

I have the same problem with my V3. I flashed the Cingular monster pack (R374_G_0E.40.57R_PDS001_LP0003_DRM0001_JPJAVA_G_0E_V3_06_03R_GSMV3xxC IN01NA065_1FF) from motox and it crapped out both phones I tried it on. For one of them I was smart enough to make a back up using FlashBackup 2.62 and reflashed using (R374_G_0E.42.09R_MXLP0001_GSMV3MXCIN01NA0F5_superfile_MOTOX). For the other one I wasn't as smart. I've tried almost everything, except what old fool mentioned above. Here's the background:

I used scotty's BL downgrader and flashed my phone with a cingular unbranded monsterpack. After flashing it just entered the bl screen. I didn't backup the phone before I started modding (duh). I tried the tut http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=11727 but I can't get past flashing the rfdi image. I also tried using the PDS retore function on Repair Studio and creating a new PDS using Flash Backup 2.62. So, I decided to pick up a Motorola Smart Clip off ebay. I tried to restore the PDS file using SmartMoto and it fails saying that the phone may be locked (which it isn't). I have exhausted all of the ideas that I have. Can anyone else offer some suggestions, or do I give my mother in law a pink V3 paperweight???

SmartMoto error:
Searching for phone... found S Flash Neptune LTE, getting test interface... interface not found
Switching to flash mode... OK
Reading phone boot version... 8.23
Sending boot... load error
Warning: Phone may need "Remove RSA" procedure to get unlocked or flashed, check model list at "Unlock" tab if flash mode fails to start

Now I guess I'll try the testpoint thing...
