After trying the pay as you go option before committing to a service plan, I have to say I'm glad I did. This is pretty damn ridiculous. 1 minute equals 2 minutes? The first time I run out and try to use my credit card to reload, both on the phone itself and online, the service that allows me to do that is down? I can't even give them more money. I find that there are problems no matter which service I've ever used, but this is pretty shoddy for sure.

you are billed in 1 minuter increments... 1 minute and one second is 2 minutes of airtime
you can refill at
www.cingularrefill.com
you will need your phone number and PIN

ok, you're an idiot. THE SERVICE WAS DOWN. The lady who set me up TOLD me, "I'll be honest, they count 30 seconds as 1 minute." I didn't post on this site to be placated, nor did I post to hear from a Cingular advocate.

it's official..elmo, the mod is an idiot...sorry elmo.
all providers bill in full-minute increments.
the postpaid service has more options for payments than prepaid service, so it would be easier.
with cingular, there's also a 30 day buyer's remorse period. better than setting up a prepaid account as a test of service.

I am neither placating you or posting as a cingular advocate... cingular (like I said) bills in WHOLE MINUTE INCREMENTS...30 seconds of airtime will bill as 1 minute... 61 seconds will bill as 2 minutes...just like it says in your book...
this is a public forum meant to encourage discussion... the mere fact that you posted something means you wanted discussion on the point...if the answer wasnt to your liking... dont open yourself to said discussion

I don't think the author is commenting on billing as much as he couldn't connect with the site to give them more money via credit card.
Why would anyone go prepaid?pfft!

well, just the fact that he's arguing over 1 second is funny to me. okay, so 1 minute isn't 2 minutes, 1 minute and 1 second is 2 minutes.......yeah. why not just say, "we charge 20 cents a minute" instead of 10 cents a minute, when a minute is gonna cost you 20 cents, it's retarded. No offense to any retarded people on the forum. That coupled with the reply about the recharge. Yes, I couldn't get it done when I needed it. This to me suggests they do this ridiculous stuff to get you into a plan so they can screw you further. I'm not debating that all cellular companies are terrible, they are. It's the fact that they treat us as though we're all idiots that bothers me, how about a little truth in advertising for a change?

1 minute is 1 minute
1 minute 1 second is 2 minutes because part minutes are billed as full minutes
all providers bill in full-minute increments.
