Hello. I'm new here - read the posts regarding T-Mobile providing an unlock code, but didn't see anything about final results. Anyway, I ordered what was supposed to be an unlocked Samsung T519 from N1wireless online, along with the "deluxe package" which was supposed to contain a 1g micochip (it did), software cd (it did), and a usb cable (it didn't.) The phone's description on the N1wireless site indicated that the phone was "Yes" for USB, which, of course, lead me to believe it has a USB port (it doesn't.) The phone might be bluetooth, but my computer has yet to find or accept any bluetooth devices (although I think it's supposed to be able to.) I don't see that the software (driver, etc) will do me any good without the use of a usb cable. Sorry I'm dragging this out, but I'm a little annoyed! Anyway, on top of the other surprising disappointments, the phone is locked to T-Mobile and will not accept my AT&T sim card. N1wireless does not reply to my email, answer their phone, or let me leave a message on their phone. It looks like I'm on my own. Other than sending the phone to a professional phone unlocking company and paying $25-$60 to have the thing unlocked, is there anyway I can do it myself? I should mention that when I turn the phone on with the ATT sim card in it, the only message I get after the T-Mobile splash screen is "wrong card". I am not prompted to enter a code.
Can anyone help or advise? I have never had to fix anything like this, so if you have an answer for me, please be explicit in your instructions. I will call T-Mobile tomorrow (Monday), but as I am not one of their subscribers (and haven't been for quite some time), I don't know if they can/will help in this situation.
