Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forums and am very active when it comes to cell phones. I've always purchased my cellphones unlocked from this site online. The phones i've had in the past 2 years are as followed: Sony Ericsson K700, Sony Ericsson K750, Sony Ericsson P900, Sony Ericsson P990, and now I have the Samsung Trace from Tmobile. This is my first locked phone and I want to sell it to my friend who has Cingular. Does anyone have the unlock code for it that will not damage this phone or is it better for me to purchase the software? Thank You

Actually let me answer my own question. I read something very helpful on here that states that you can actually call t-mobile and that they'd provide an unlock code for me. I just called them and they will be emailing it to me within 24hrs, once I get that code I will post it on here for anyone else to unlock their Samsung Trace (T519).

That code will only work with YOUR Trace, since it will be keyed to your phone's IMEI number.

I have obtained my unlock code from T-Mobile customer service, along with instructions on how to use it. But when I do what they tell me, nothing happens! Its as if I pressed some random keys on the keypad. No error messages, no nothing.
So, now that I have my unlock code, could someone post explicit instructions on how to use it? Thanks.

you need to inser the other providers sim card 1st, it should prompt you to enter the subsidy unlock code after you enter that sim..

If you use the data cable and the software called lucifer 1.0 you can unlock it yourself. I unlocked my t519/trace last night . worked perfectly.

i have the t519 and it displays return for service when i insert a foreign sim card , i tried to unlock it with lucifer it says that everything is unlocked but it says the same , how can i do it?
