I just bought a 6255i. I've downloaded MP3's to my memory card to use as ringtones on the phone. I managed to set one of the MP3's as the general ringtone, but I want to set a second one as a custom ringtone for my husband. How can I set a downloaded MP3 as a custom ringtone on this phone?
Thanks!

You should be able to set one for your husband within his contact details. Edit them, there should be an option to add a custom tone.

There is, but it only gives me the option to select from the pre-programmed ringtones already in the phone. I can't select from the MP3's that I've downloaded onto the phone.

And you've put the mp3s in the correct ringtone folder?

I put it in the Tones folder. Is there a different folder that I need to move them to?

If there is a subfolder "digital" or "simple", put it in there (if both exist, it doesn't matte in which you put it).
Otherwise I've got no idea.

Neither folder exists, so I guess I can't do it.

Can you please tell us all folders you have under "tones".
On my phone I had created a folder under "Tones" named "Custom". All I do is select this folder when I am asked which ringtone to add to the group/contact.
If you are unable to select any folder, but the one that has the sample ringtones, then you will have to find this folder and move all custom ringtones there... (Just look what tones exists in this folder, and then simply look for them through the "gallery" or whatever your tones are located)

The interesting thing is, when I select "Add custom ringtone" it doesn't list the files that are in "Tones," and both my husband and I have looked and can't find the folder where the actual ringtones are stored. It's a truly bizzare mystery.
