it won't work I had a caller put a nextel sim card in their cingular phone and damaged the phone(it wouldn't take cingular sim cards after they did it) I don't even think the card is even the same physical size I'd advise not to even put it into a nextel to cingular cingular to nextel phone you could damage the phone. (like putting beta tape in a vhs vcr it just won't work at all) and they don't use the same frequencies so even if it was unlocked cingular doesn't use IDEN technology they use GSM technology.

hello all what is this ...enter special code now... I took a Cingular sim card and put it in a nextel phone and I got the enter special code now,
I'v been banging my head agenst the wall for 3 weeks finaley i got in
did not enter a special code it was a * # sequence i can view my phone book
see last text messages i try to make a call, but Service is Restricted if i power off and back on i have to do it all over. Can any one help i got this far

Hello. I understand that the two companies dont work together. I just need to get at my contact list. I broke the screen on my cingular phone and currently do not have enough money to go buy a new phone. If there is some way what i could get the code to unlock it, to read my contacts that would be great. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

i have a at&t sim card.and i have somehow locked it. i was not the original owner of this phone and have no way of contacting them.
