this may interest you
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_d807
it states:
| Quote: |
You may play Variable bitrate MP3s that reach higher than the 192Kbps limit, as long as the first few seconds do not exceed it.
|
then again, some people on hofo tried to make one and came up against some hassles.
basically...
| Quote: |
The group we had organized to work on it has pretty much given up due to two issues. First, it appears we'd need to buy a security certificate which costs something like $200. Secondly, it looks like Samsung's MIDP implementation does not support MP3 streams and we'd have to convert it first. Besides being long and difficult to write, such software would likely perform very poorly on the D807's rather slow JVM.
|
and...
| Quote: |
Aside from the certificate issue, I have run into a limitation that no
money could fix. The J2ME java implementation on the D807 supports
very limited multimedia formats. It does not support mp3 or wav file
playback. It only supports 3gp video, amr, midi audio, tones, and
thats it. So even with the 3rd party mp3 library, we cannot play audio
becuase Javazoom's library converts the mp3 to wav in real time and
plays that. Since our phone doesn't even play wav files, we are pretty
much screwed.
All we can now do is possibly petition samsung to update our phone to
include a better mp3 player.

You can edit your start menu eg, the background pic, the title etc,,, &
you can set the priority of the conversion to slow it down or speed it up amongst other things,,,

i prefer Nidesoft for its clear converting image and fast speed. The most important thing is that it is easy to use, especially for beginners. If you are interested, you can see its sites and make further comparison.

Maybe you can try this software : Aimersoft Total Media Converter for Mac, which not only rip DVD to all mobile players on Mac,but also convert video(includes WMV, MKV, MTS.) to all mobile players on Mac.
You can get more information about it from Google.
