Hi everyone,
I've had my v505 for over a year and a half and it just seemed to have stopped working yesterday. When I attempt to turn on the phone, the buttons will all light up, the screens won't respond, and after about 10-15 seconds of the buttons turning blue, the cell phone just turns off. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this problem and know of a way to fix it or for me to get my phone numbers off of the phone.
Thanks!

You can try to flash it with a Monster Pack

You can try to connect with MPT, Mobiledit (www.mobiledit.com) or p2k Tools to backup the numbers - but there is every chance you won't be able to access them and any not in SIM memory will be lost
Might also be worth trying a different charger / battery

Hi,
It seems like the phone is turning on and then turning off right away before I can really do anything with connecting to it. I've tried a different battery and whenever I plug in a charger to the phone, nothing happens at all, so I'm assuming there's a disconnect between the charger, battery, the rest of the phone. Also, there is no sound at all. I don't quite understand how a monster pack works so if it possible to direct me to a site if you still believe it can fix the problem.
I've called both cingular and motorola and they both told me to just get a replacement phone, but I need the information off of this phone so I'm stuck between sending it in for $75 or nothing. Unforunately, their closest repair site is ... 400 miles away so that option goes out the window.
I really appreciate the responses and help that I've received. If anyone has anymore advice, or can give me any more tips/direction that would be wonderful. Mind you I'm very new to this stuff and don't quite understand the terminalogy very well.

Flashing with a monsterpack will erase the info on the phone anyway
