you have to go to a store to do a transfer of service in this situation. it can't be done online.

Also, would my sister and I be able to migrate directly from our current TDMA Prepaid Free-2-Go, to the GSM Family Talk plan? At the same time? Or would my sis and I need to migrate to GSM Prepaid first before we could switch to the family plan?
|
yes, you can migrate directly. basically the rep would transfer the phone numbers from the tdma prepaid into the existing cingular familytalk plan. it seems like people have been having trouble migrating from prepaid, but it has to go through a store. i guess it depends on the rep that you get, and how much they know.

The last question I ask because when we went to get my mom migrated from AT&T GoPhone to Cingular GoPhone back in August, it took them 3 hours and 4 different reps to transfer 1 number.

yeah, i'm sorry, i'm not sure why people in the store seem to have a problem doing it, but that's the way it needs to be done (as i guess you've found out). you could try and find the last rep who helped you with it, since they have experience with it now, it might be a little quicker.

Steva,
You've been awesome.
Still one more question:
Since we are moving existing numbers from inside Cingular to a family plan, would we still have to pay the activation fee for each line?
My dad's "new" ported number and my bro's new number of course would have to pay an activation fee. What about the other of 3 numbers we have that are already at Cingular, that are just prepaid?

the blue lines would not have to pay an activation fee. your mom's line may have to pay a discounted activation fee.
