I also bought a 4gb stick (Sony original) something like 2 months ago. I've uploaded around 3gb of mp3s and as a MP3 player, it works fine and recognize everything. However, I kept around 1Gb of space for video and photos. I can make it save the photos. It let me takes picture and display the message that it is saving it but, nowhere to find the photos thereafter and the memory space is still the same.
Any clues on why it happens. Is there a firmware upgrade or something that will fix this?
Thanks!

Is a 4 GB card consuming considerably more battery than the 512 MB one?
I am looking at getting the w810i or the w850i, I have called SE to ask whether either of them take the 4gb card, their reply was that they havn't yet tested the 4gb card, but have with the 2gb stick. I think that it would be great if it works. ok like it does with some, and there are new problems arising with the 4gb version. Clearly this is why the manufacturers say it supports 2gb, not known for the 4gb
I see it as a big (average £20-40) risk getting the 4gb, as a pure random chance that it will work with that particular phone.
I still want the 4gb, but what type of pro duo will work and with which phone?
