I know that cable will transfer music to play, but does it work for Ringtones? Like, if I have a recording my daughter made, can it set that as a ringtone on my phone?

Yes, using BitPim you can just drag and drop the file into the ringtones section and then transfer it into the phone.

No worries - once you get the cable from eBay, make sure it comes with the driver .. otherwise BitPim doesn't find the phone

i've got a memory card reader and the usb cable. first you have to use the reader and create a folder on your card called "ringers" then copy the tones from your "my sounds" folder to the "ringers" folder. then plug in usb cable and use bitpim to update ringers.
