I just bought a LG9800 V and so far it's been a great phone. But, having problem with ringtones. I have a few ringtone on my computer and with I send them to my phone they go into My Sounds. I can't get them into ringtones. Can anyone help?

 I am having the same issue. I want to set something recored on my phone as a ringtone. I tried sending it to myself as a ringtone and still can't get it to work! Any help anyone out there? Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure the phone won't use downloaded songs as ringtones, the songs have to be on your phone and not on the disk to work as a ringtone.

I know with my old LG7000 and my Moto710. if I send a ringtone to it I can just save it and use it as a ringtone. for some reason the 9800 will not

mine wont either but i heard it was removed by verizon... prolly a scheme to make you buy them instead of use your own since it uses a sd card and they wouldnt make any $$$ since u can just get off pc. really wish atleast one tone that came with it was a decent one. but other than that i love the phone.

I was told today that radio shack sells a program the will transfor R/T from the computer to the LG9800. I have to find out more. Has anyone heard of this ??

this makes me mad, because with old verizon phones you could record something like your friends talking and use it as a ringtone for them.. it wont work for this one

I have this phone - you have to get the data cable and transfer in ringtones. The cable is only 8 dollars on eBay.
