When I plug my krzr k1m up to my laptop with my usb cable, the hardware never isn't installed correctly and doesn't work. When I go into My computer and try to double click on the "generic volume", it says "enter a disk into drive E".
It doesn't work on USB Drive or the Modem setting on the phone.

you have to put the phone in Data/fax mode, not modem mode

There are only 2 options...USB Drive or Modem modes in the USB connection settings. It doesn't work on either.

take out the memory chip and put it in usb drive mode.

what memory chip?
anyways, I downloaded Microsoft Activesync, and it still couldn't detect it.

Is it true that motorola hasn't even released the Krzr driver yet? maybe that's why I can't find it.

The newest edition of MPT has the krzr driver I believe, so try live updating it

I downloaded the "DriverTool" and ran it, and it still didn't work on USB Drive mode.
