Here's the thing, my parents used to have cingular 6 months ago. But decided to just stop using it(since they were charging them 700 dollars!), and get service from another company(t-mobile).

call cingular with your parents name/ lasst 4 digitts of the social security # (or password on old account) and ask cingular for the code.

They didnt pay that 700(absurd) amount, their account is probably close or very past due. Do you think they would still give me the unlocking code?

no unlock code will not be released on past due/write off accounts

all you have to do is give them a friends name and the account numbers last four ssn its that easy. they just think there secretive about giving out unlock codes because you can sell that service on ebay for 20 bucks. just go the legit way and then cell the code

What do you mean give a friends name? I highly doubt they would give the code for a past due/write off account.
