I need some clarification on some termination questions. Here is the story:
On Dec 2nd i switched from Sprint to Tmobile. Yes, i know there is the termination fee of $200. On Dec 14, my current bill is due. I do not occur any extra charges. I understand that the monthly plan is being billed ahead of time, meaning, i pay on the 14th of the month for the billing cycle from the 15th of the month to 14th of the next month.
I cancelled my Sprint Service at 5pm and at 5:05 the service was terminated. The Sprint CSR gave me an estimated final bill of $264. How can that be?
I always pay my bill on time. I have no outstanding charges etc.
If i cancel my service 2/3 into a current plan month i should not have to pay the next month and the next month? Do i also have to pay all the taxes that are usually on my phone bill?
My termination fee is $200. My monthly plan is $30.
I believe i should only have to pay the Termination Fee. Am i right or what?
I had been with Sprint for about 5 years. Service was okay, CSR usually friendly and helpful. I switched because Tmobile gave me a better deal and a connection to my husbands work.
Thanks for all the help

I think your problem is that sprint is charging about 2 bills at once plus taxes. I forget which way this works, but most carriers either bill you for future service or are a month behind on bill you. If its the later, you have almost 2 bills at the same time plus taxes.

Sprint bills in advance. Why do i have to pay next months bill, when i cancelled halfway through the previous month?
When i cancelled i expected to pay the ETF of $200 minus an adjustment from the current month.

Check your contract. It may say somthing like you agree to give us a 30 day notice on an early termination.

Sprint can kiss my tip, they are cheap anyways, thats why people with bad credit usually go with them, because they lower the standards.
