Are the japanese razrs running the same 374 firmware? I was thinking about getting one, and if they do just doing an LP from whatever it is there to 0003 anyone?

Japan does not use GSM - so they will not be a R374 V3 - would be CDMA model probably

No, the one I saw was GSM, it said specifically that its a GSM phone with a sim and unlocked

Its located in US, I suspect they said Japanese but its actually Korean /.Chinese / similar

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted, to the untrained eye, chinese and japanese characters are hard to distinguish. In that case, do you have any idea what firmware it would run in HK/china/korea?

If it is a standard V3 - then yes it is R374

You could always ask the seller to enter *#9999# and confirm the s/w version
