After flashing and flexing my V3, it was a barebone flex, no ringers, nothing. I have already put ringtones with MPT, but where shall I put the audio file for the missed call beep? This was also not included in the flex. The sound I am trying to put back is the same annoying beep that you get with the low battery warning. I do not want that back, just the missed call beep.
Also, how do I change under recent calls received calls to where it will only show one of the same number? Currently if the same person called me ten times then it would show each and every time.
Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a modified gain table - change the system tone volume gain

the flex always contains all files on the phone - its the gain_table.bin file
offset 4E external speaker system tone gain

ok you were right the system tone was down, turned it up some but this still doesn't help my problem. hmmm...just wondering can i replace that file with one with audio? i think that even though like you said the flex comes with all files, that they are just empty, like the original ringtones. does that make sense or am i way off?

Did you restart the phone after modifying the file?
There is a stock file backup at http://www.motomodders.net/Portals/0/UserFiles/User86112/V3_Stock_Moto _Backup.rar

how could I have overlooked that? restarting the phone did the trick. problem is now all "noises" are back, the annoying sidekey beep and the worst of all (i'm sure) the low battery beep. know of any way to get rid of the battery warning? and thanks for your help!

All those use the same gain - you have them or you don't - sorry
Although having said that there is a method to have custom sounds on the v3 - for example for low battery noise - which you could make a silent .wav file
