I am a noob...at this so please be patient.
I bought the RAZR v3i from ebay but with no sim card.
It is locked to Orange so I had a previous sim card from another phone which works ok. But isnt registered with the RAZR phone (just wanted to make sure it worked ok) It had this in it:
Motorola CE, Copyright 2004 - V3i (R479_G_08.B4.34R)
So I tried RSD Lite 2.7 and tried to update it with:
R479_G_08.B5.3DR_reflash_mlp_MOTOX.shx
and now I get:
Critiacl Error
DE
AD
Can someone help. I didnt make a back up .....
Please help.
I tried the *+# with 1 hand and trying to put th ebattery in with another. But nothing happened (do I need to connect to pc to try this)
As the phone will not switch off itself.

I tried and no joy.
The only way i can get the phone to go off and on is with the battery.
Tried holding * + # even with the power button and nothing.
Any other help would be appreciated.

It;s this fone was power up and working ok before you insert the sim in?

yes, with no probs.
I had a spare sim (orange) from another phone just to test it and it was ok.
When i tried to flash it i left the sim in, does that matter?

It should not be, but this is a very bad error!!
You need to find some one with smart clip or ulimabox to repair PDS and then falsh it again for you.

But when i read on how to do the upgrade it didnt say anything about the sim card.
Where do i get :
multiflashflex & smart clip and the R479_G_08.B4.34R i had in my phone, what would be the newest one to get as i dont want to f**k this up again.

Right latest update
Went to shop (hue had smart clip)
Went down asked him whats happening:
used a fully charged battery,and flashed it with R749_G_08 something?..and it says flashing done or something on screen.
He put the phone back together and still getting the same
Critical Error

he doesnt know whats happening and gave the phone back to me..
Anyone please help.....

yes he tried twice.. i saw him using tweezers for something... and i know he tried 2 flashes...and once it was complete it says samething.
Please help
