I find myself having to charge the battery in my cell phone every day; even if it wasn't used on that particular day. Do other members here also have to charge daily? I could understand if the battery is old but even my new battery seems to need daily charging. On the other hand, my Lithium Ion camcorder battery can hold a charge for weeks and even months, even if used.

You could try the battery fix:

Run phone till battery dies
Remove battery for at least 5 mins
Replace battery but do not turn phone on
Charge overnight with battery off

For better battery life if you are in a poor signal area ensure network speed is set to slow

Also bluetooth, videos, java and internet will drain battery rapidly

Pretty much from Day 1 with all of my Razrs, I've had to charge overnight everynight. If I don't, then midway through the next day, I'm running out ot battery. It's seldom that the battery runs down totally during a day, but it getrs close at times, especially when I'm driving on interstates. This my only phone and I'm on it a lot, so I don't consider this a problem. I've tried the nattery technique that Mike mentions and it does help.

But considering today's lifetyles and the things we ask of these phones, charging a phone every night does not seem unreasonable (except when I forget a charger while traveling...grrr...)

One thing that seems to help is that I bought a Moto fast charger, which I think is shipping with new Razrs now. My batteries seem to last longer when I use this charger, but I've no scientific proof of this.

Hope this helps...

Great info, Mike. While I've dabbled with various Razrs and a couple of smartphones over the last two years, my girfriend has had the same V3 for over two years now. Still using the original battery. She, like I, charges it each night.

Mike, that battery page link, might make a good stick, although judging by the questions we see every day here, it won't get read much, like the rest of them...icon_surprised.gif)

I bought a Nokia E50 in June, and noticed that with minimal usage (a few calls and texts) the battery was draining in about 48 hours. To be clear, this is without playing any games, using the camera or music player, etc. I complained because the brochure and several reviews say the standby life should be several days, and they gave me a new handset which drained in about 24 hours under same usage conditions as above. Has anyone else experienced this? I find it kind of ridiculous they are allowed to make claims of long battery life that apparently do not reflect reality, as in other industries doing this sort of thing would violate consumer protection laws at least here in the US (e.g. if a car company advertised you'd get 30mpg and actually you got 10, that would not be legal).

I would post in Nokia talk board - this board is for Motorola so it is unlikely you will get many replies

In my experience Nokia battery life is usually excellent - perhaps you are in a very poor signal area?
