you guys are all barking up the wrong tree, no USB drivers should be needed for transfering MP3s onto the mini SD card in the phone. Just go to Menu/settings/connection and pick "mass storage", the memory card should momentarily appear within "windows explorer" (open it first), as a "removable memory device" ( or some such name).
Then just drag and drop MP3s into the MP3 folder on the card.
Either that or remove the card, put it in a card reader and do the same.
This is THE ONLY WAY to get mp3s into this phone! and it wont let you use these MP3s as ringtones either.
When your done, open the phones MP3 player and try to play them, don't panic right away, it won't recognize any of them right away, I think the internal processor is slow or something, you'll get an error message. Just try a few more, within a few secs-min all will be well, and all songs will be instantly recognized from now on. go figure, LG pos.
However, don't get cocky.
The stupid useless software and USB drivers ARE needed to do anything else with this phone using a computer, AND the software was written in 2005! It is NOT windows VISTA compatible! XP or older only.
Tell everyone you know, I'll never buy anything LG again, this phone/software has been my worst consumer experience ever.
