Hello to all.
I am trying to use a Belkin F5D7010 wireless G card with my Sony Vaio PCG-GR300. I am running Windows XP Home SP2 and have no firewall and or malware software except Windows Live OneCare and Windows Defender. When I try to access the T-Mobile hotspot login page it always says page cannot be displayed in Internet Explorer 7. I have isolated the problem down to my wireless cards MAC being somehow stuck in the access point.
When I initially began troubleshooting the issue for five hours with 3 different T-Mobile technicians and one manager. I was told that it was bad drivers, a bad card or some firewall software. I do not agree with this because I can go to other T-Mobile hotspots, either Starbucks or Kinkos and connect no problem. Also I was told that Belkin has compatibility issues with the T-Mobile hotspot. I don't agree with this because I talked to Belkin and they said there are no known issues and I was already connecting with the same hardware at this same location for at least a month. I also tried the same card in 2 different machines at that location with the same result but can connect at other locations.
If you work for T-Mobile, what information do I have to give you in order to get you to reset the access point so I can get back to working at this hotspot. I am now up to at least 3 days of troubleshooting with T-Mobile technical support.
Thank You In Advance

Keep calling it in. I used to work in IT and a simple reset of the wifi system should fix your problem. Tmobile should have the ability to do that remotely and be down for minimal time (like a minute).

I have tried for 5 days now and they keep trying to tell me it's my drivers. They will not escalate the call. It is impossible for it to be my drivers if I can use it at any other location. I'm trying to be nice and not start at customer relations because it's something that is very simple to do, once escalated to the right person.

Just wondering, are you running the latest drivers or a different version. And can you get an IP address at the hotspot.

I kept calling T-Mobile until they sent someone out to the hotspot. There was a problem with the equipment because when the technician was in the front of the store, he got a signal but when he sat at in the back, at my seat, he lost signal. I thought it was a bad antenna because the signal was lost in only one direction. They worked on the issue for hours. I can at least get a signal in the front of the store but I just gave up and went to another Starbucks.
