I am the new owner of the Nokia 6682. While browsing the phone to see what extras I have I came across Wayfinder. It says I have two free trials with this phone.

Since I don't want to waste them my question is do I need the GPS Module LD-3W or LD-1W in order to make it work or will it with just having the phone itself.

Also has anyone used Wayfinder is it worth the $99 for the subscription? Anyone who has used it and can give me some feedback would be most appreciated.

Thanks so much

From what I heared it's a good navigation software.
And because you don't buy some maps but access them on the wayfinder server you can be sure to have a map that's up to date.
And you don't need a big memory card!

But you need a good data-plan!

I tried using it Tues for the first time and it didn't work. I don't know if I need the LD-3w or what I have to write Nokia to find out.

You should be able to use any bluetooth GPS dongle.

Did you pair the phone with the dongle correctly?

The GPS module.

Did you pair (connect) it correctly with the phone?

I called Nokia today which were no help because they said wayfinder is a third party. So then I wrote to wayfinder. I want to make sure I need a GPS module. Because this software came pre loaded on my phone so I thought mabye I could bypass buying one.

So we will see what they say. If not I'll have to start watching Ebay. But thank you for all your help. Once I master this I will put a post on their for everyone else helping them decide if they want to use it or not icon_wacko.gif
