Can somebody help me with next poblem:
My 14 day old w300i worked fine with all options. As a telefone, radio, MP3 player and camera.
I took in on a trip from europe to china. It found the China Mobile network before I left the airplane, and adjusted itself to the local time. Great so far
I took some 40 pictures with it at highest quality, some with night option. Pics were stored in phone, not on card
Between 2 pics the whole came to a stop. When I opened de clam for the next pic, I found a screen which was flashing white and black. No start screen or other possibility to acces the device. I can only stop it by removing the battery. Start it by pressing the start button results in the same white/black alternating screen. Removing the battery, memory card and SIM card does not help
I tried to get acces via the USB cable again no result
I am looking for someone, with same experience, who, may be, has found a solution for this problem. Especially I would like to save the China Pics, since my normal camera also had problems

I have no experience with this, but I learned quite a bit from Googling.
It appears the so-called WSOD affects several models of SonyEricssons, and there's nothing that can be done about it, at least from the consumer's end. All you can do is call up SE, tell them the problem, and they may (should!) issue an RMA. But from what I've read, you'll have to foot the bill for shipping, handling, insurance, and wait 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for your time,
I already made the decision to go back to SE. They have to repair under warranty since the device is 3 weeks old!
What is an RMA?

RMA means "Returned Merchandise Authorization." It's just a fancy way of saying you are returning a defective product to the manufacturer, for either repair or replacement.

Next time you get the WSOD, just update the firmware.

when you get the wsod, you can try using the sony ericsson update service [seus]
or an alternative is that you can flash the phone with the software yourself - this solves the problem many times. i've actually made a lot of money doing this for people.
if you want more information about doing it yourself, you should visit se-nse.net, they ahve a lot of nice tutorials there. go to the forums, then go to the firmware tutorials section and you should find a bunch of info.
